Don't Conceal Imperfections--Erase Them!!!

AmazingConcealer from Amazing Cosmetics should really be called an Eraser not a concealer. The reason is that this concealer unlike others blends into the skin erasing imperfections, it doesn't just sit on top of the skin yelling out "Hey look I'm hiding something!!!"

3 new shades have just been added to the already colorful line up to insure that there is the perfect shade for everyone. With the same highly pigmented formula, a little goes a long way, check out Ivory, Medium Golden and Tan Golden.

Well I took a shorter break than I thought I would. I just had to tell you all about some new products that I have just tried this week.

As a makeup artist, I'm a huge advocate for taking care of your skin. So when I come across amazing products and people, I can't wait to share my discoveries. Here are 3 lines that I have recently tried out.

1) Sircuit Skin cosmeceuticals

This new brand is very impressive, I love the smell and feel of the products.
The philosophy of Sircuit Skin is Fresh, 100% natural, organic based,
Chirally Correct & cruelty free. After only using this line for a few days I have the confidence that it does what it says it does. There are quite a few lotions and potions, not to worry as your skin care specialist will be able to suggest the ones that are right for you.

2) Odacite Rejuvenating
When I met Valerie Grandury the founder of Odacite, I was very intrigued with her story. Valerie was on a mission to create a truly 100% organic fresh skin care line, so fresh that it is only available online, made in small batches and shipped directly from the lab. If you are on the search skin care products that live up to the purity that they say they are made with, Odacite is worth checking out.

3) Dr. Jessica Wu
It's been almost a year since I've been going to dermatologist Jessica Wu. Since going to her, my skin feels rejuvenated and restored. Dr. Wu combines the techniques of Western advances and Chinese medicine. Her products are fantastic. I personally love the Anti Aging Sun Care spf 32, the Dew Cream and her Fade Cream. (fade cream is only available at the doctor's office)

Skin care is one of those things that might take some investment in order to find what works best for you. It's great to follow recommendations however every one's skin is different so what works for me might not work for you. Also, you might find a product that you love and then one day feel like it's not working for you any more. This is also common as the needs of our skin can change with age, environment or even our diet.

Christmas Movie Extravaganza!

I hope that everyone had a fantastic Christmas. I got some much needed rest and caught up on some movies. I saw "Up in the Air" with George Clooney. I had no idea what it was about until I saw it and it had some very poignant life messages for me, I really enjoyed it. My other theater experience was "It's Complicated" with Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin. Nancy Meyers never lets me down. Her movies are multi-layered and always showing a mature woman in an empowered light. I highly recommend it!

On the small screen at home, I enjoyed "Australia", "17 Again", "The Proposal" (again) and several of my favorite romantic comedies such as "Love Actually", "The Holiday", "You've Got Mail" and "Briget Jones's Diary". You can't go wrong with any of these, no matter how many times I watch them I love them.

This coming week I'm on call for jury duty, so I'm not sure what I will be bringing you later this week, though I'm pretty sure we will be announcing a great New Year's offer. Stay tuned.

Last week I did makeup for a new Pantene commercial for the U.K.. It was an amazing experience, and what makeup artist doesn't like a project to be all about beauty!

It is a fantastic experience when a team of people come together, all "tops" in their fields, and have one goal in common to make the most beautiful commercial and enjoy the process. OK so that's 2 goals.

I was back at The Ellen Show with Dennis Quaid. He made a special appearance on behalf of Hasbro and the G.I. Joe brand to give Ellen a whopping $250,000 donation for her Toys for Tots. Dennis also presented Ellen with her very own action hero doll. It was great being there as usual, and whether I’m watching at home or from the studio when Ellen spreads a little holiday cheer to one of her viewers that is having a rough time of it, I get teary eyed. I know you know what I mean!

Holiday Pucker

One beauty trend that is sure to heat things up this holiday season are red lips. The thing to remember about red lipstick is that it can make or break a look.

Here are some rules when applying red lipstick:

1. Use a lip liner that is close to the color of your natural lip, this way you can get your shape defined and if there are any mistakes it's easier to clean up.
2. Fill in the entire lip with the lip liner to get the same texture and shade.
3. For extra insurance against feathering, use DuWop Reverse lip liner on the outside edge of your natural lip liner.
4. Now fill the entire area in with your RED lipstick. Blot with a tissue to set.
5. Finish with gloss if desired, but remember the time of day and occasion you are attending.

Makeover Monday: Goes to College

Girls aren't the only ones who benefit from makeovers!!!

This is my nephew Aaron, a handsome and charismatic guy.
Well, when the life of dorm living, classes & RA duties don't get the best of him. Yes he can get a haircut anytime, however he only wants me to touch his locks, which my ego loves. It had been several months since the last time we got together and to tell you the truth I didn't feel like working over the Thanksgiving Holiday, and then he walked in!!!!
So in celebration of his birthday and plane ol just loving an extreme makeover we went for it. A great classic men's haircut with some texturizing, so it can be worn tousled or neat, and a clean shave. I let him do the shaving, but before I sent him for a rendezvous with his razor, I buzzed off the majority of facial hair. This is recommended to make the shave easier with less risk of nicks and ingrown hairs. I also advised him to use a hot towel compress after a his shower to really prep the skin for a close shave.
And the results are fantastic!!!

Viola'!!

On Tuesday, it was Marisa's first time on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien. She and Conan had such great chemistry. Marisa had a lot to talk about; everything from wearing the Victoria's Secret Fantasy Bra to working on a special Harley Davidson promotion for the troops.

Makeover Monday: My weekend with Keith Urban

It was a gorgeous weekend in Hollywood, and I couldn't have enjoyed it more! I spent this past Sunday prepping Keith Urban for the American Music Awards. Keith and wife Nicole Kidman wowed the red carpet.

Keith not only took home his stunning wife but the award for Best Male Country Singer for the night.

Prior to the AMA's, I also shot Keith's new video, 'Til Summer Comes Around. Sure to be another hit, take a listen.

Last but not least, on Saturday, Keith treated 900 fans to an acoustic set at the Verizon Wireless store in Pasadena. Amazing as always, if you can catch Keith on his next tour, you won't be disappointed!

Recap Wednesday: The Princess and the Frog

I attended the premiere of Disney's history making movie, The Princess and the Frog at The Disney Lot this Sunday with actress Jenifer Lewis. Jenifer plays Mama Odie, the good voodoo priestess of the Bayou in the animated family feature.

Disney returns to the classic 2D animation that was quite honestly the best animated movie I've seen since I was a kid! It was layered with incredible music, beautiful color and lots of great life messages.

The Princess and the Frog is a magical movie that is sure to be another Disney classic!

The film will open in limited release in New York and Los Angeles on November 25, 2009 before expanding into wide release on December 11, 2009.

Twilight's Elizabeth Reaser

Happy Monday everyone. I had a terrific weekend! It started Friday working with the lovely and talented Elizabeth Reaser from Twilight. It was our first time meeting and it won't be the last!

Elizabeth attended the Prada Book Launch Party in Beverly Hills, so I smoked her up a bit with the P3 Black eye pencil and MAC fluidliner in Blacktrack, topped off with Jouer highlighter cream. I used Benefit's Coralista blush then glossed up her lips with Amazing Cosmetics "Kathy".

USO trip with Victoria's Secret Angels

This was in December 2007, and I was invited to beautify the VS Angels on a trip to raise morale for our troops in Guantanamo Bay.

This picture was taken after a day of meeting and greeting, and it was our time to chill out at the outdoor bar at the Officer's Club.

Marisa Miller, Selita Ebanks and Adriana Lima are three of the VS models that came along on the trip and I've had the joy of working with over the past several years. They both have also been in Sport Illustrated.

Because the girls were mingling all day, they wanted a more natural look. This was an up close and personal mission, and they wanted to look like their "best self". And no matter how blessed we are with Supermodel looks, a girl always enjoys being a little polished.

So to polish these VS beauties, I kept it simple with my tried-and-true Amazing Cosmetics Concealer and Velvet Mineral Powder Foundation for a flawless, long-lasting face.

The girls were thrilled; they looked great and felt naturally beautiful.

Because my schedule has been very hectic and I 've been traveling so much, I decided that I needed a quick pick me up . I decided to dive into the world of Do It Yourself hair color rather than going to the salon.

As I was paroozing the shelves, The New Decadent Chocolate from L'Oreal really captured my eyes-- and not because i was hungry. I love having a rich shiny iridescent hair color. I came home and proceeded with my mission.

I always knew that these hair colors were easy to mix.

However, finding a dye with such beautiful coverage was a pleasant surprise and a great relief. I used 4SM and I have to say that it was as if I just went and spent $100 to get my color done professionally. I highly recommend this product. I myself am stocking up because a girl never wants to miss out on a good thing.

Wednesday I attended the dedication of L'Oreal Paris's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.The event brought lots of press, celebrities and fun. I did hair and makeup for actress Kate Del Castillo, the newest face of The L'Oreal family.

After the dedication we went to a lunch hosted by L' Oreal's Eva Longoria at her restaurant Beso. Needless to say the food and drinks were beyond AMAZING!

Last weekend I was part of The Modelinia Style Tour at UTC in La Jolla, CA. Stephanie stopped by The P3 kiosk and agreed to be my model for the day. It was great to teach The Perfect Pretty Process on such a beautiful woman like Stephanie who loves makeup and was thrilled to be a part of the event.

Recap Wednesday: Marisa Miller

I was in sunny Santa Cruz this weekend with supermodel Marisa Miller. Marisa, who is a native of Santa Cruz was the masters of ceremonies for the Rudolph Monte Foundation and Cartel Records music festival.

Cartel Records, founded by Marisa's husband Griffin Guess, provided this year's entertainment with performances from reggae artist Mishka. Mishka, of Matthew McConaughey's record label J.K. Livin, wowed the crowd with his soulful sound and engaging lyrics. Other performances included LiLA (Lost in Los Angeles) and Chicago's own Really Doe, a rapper who has toured with Kanye West.

The event had an amazing turnout, drawing in thousands and raising even more for a great cause.

Whew, just catching my breath from a very busy and exciting week. I was with my dear friend, Cindy Crawford, in Dallas for a day at the JCPenney headquarters. Then we were off to Tampa for Rooms To Go press and autograph signing. I love these trips because not only do I get to hang with one of the most beautiful women in the world, I get to meet incredible people at each stop. All the ladies I speak to are so excited to ask me for makeup tips or stories about working with Cindy and I love sharing. The best part for me now is I can help them look and feel better themselves with my new Perfect Pretty Process DVD "The Polished Look". Let's just say the news went over big because I ran out of business cards!!

Since returning from the trip I have been very busy getting ready for my upcoming Westfield Mall Style Tour by Modelinia. I will be teaching makeup techniques and giving tips at fabulous Malls. Maybe I'll even get a little personal shopping time!

My main message to women is to make time for yourself to be your best self. So I took my own advise and treated myself to a shiatsu massage last night, boy was it good!!! After a great night's sleep I am ready to pack for my next trip. Yes, I'm leaving again....tomorrow I will go to Detroit with Cindy for Art Van's 50th Anniverssary celebration, and then I will have 4 hour turn around to go back to the airport to go work with Marisa Miller.

Yesterday was Emmy Awards day and I hope you all enjoyed watching the show. I did my friend Desiree Gruber's makeup. She is one of the executive producers of the 4-time Emmy nominated, Project Runway, and is married to actor Kyle MacLachlan star of ABC's Desperate Housewives. Project Runway is now on Lifetime and hosted by supermodel Heidi Klum, who was nominated for Best Host for a Reality-Competition Program.

Last Thursday, prior to the Emmy's, I attended Heidi's nomination party in Hollywood. It was great to celebrate the nomination with my friends and the night was fun-filled with delicious food including Sprinkles cupcakes. What more could a girl want?!

Recap Wednesday: New York Fashion Week

Every year around this time, all eyes go to Bryant Park for New York's Fashion Week. Everyone is looking to spot the next hot designer like Jason Wu, see what established designers like Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein have marked as the new trends as well as take a look at the best beauty trends for the new year.

The truth is, everything seems to repeat itself and when done in the right fashion can be pulled off. Here are a few rules that every woman should consider before taking on a look from the runway.

1) Inspiration over duplication. After a 10 year hiatus, François Nars marked his return to the fashion runway in a larger than life way by leading the makeup direction for Marc Jacobs’ Autumn/Winter 2009 show. The looks were 80’s inspired and absolutely phenomenal! When taking on a look like this, one thing to note is that 80's inspired doesn't necessarily mean 80's duplication. Sometimes a subtle hint at 80's makeup is better than an overdone dramatization (think natural blush to add a little drama rather than the infamous 80's racing stripes.)

2) Find your own look. Sticking with the 80's theme, if the look doesn't fit your career and lifestyle, then you probably don't want to use it. (i.e.- 80's makeup probably won't work for you if you work in a corporate job.) Nevertheless, there are many looks from the runway this fall; dramatic lips, smokey eyes, fresh face, etc. Find a look that fits your own unique personality!

3) Don't be afraid to experiment There are so many looks from the runway to be inspired by. Try something new! It's the only way to know what works for you.

Makeover Monday: Life Changing Lives Event

Friday's Life Changing Lives event was amazing! P3 Beauty and the St. Regis Hotel provided hair, makeup, massages, facials, and an intimate lunch to 30 deserving caregivers. It was such a rewarding experience to pamper these men and women who dedicate their time caring for others.

The night time fundraiser was hosted by former KTLA personality Mindy Stearns and her husband Glenn Stearns with performances from American Idols Bo Bice, Brooke White, and Elliott Yamin. Actress Jenifer Lewis wowed the crowd opening with The Star-Spangled Banner as a bald eagle soared over the ballroom.

The silent and live auctions added to the excitement bringing in hundreds of thousands of dollars for the event. Lorraine Bracco, Tony Sirico, Vincent Pastore and other cast member from The Sopranos were also in attendance. The night helped raise money for The Wounded Warrior Project, Make-A-Wish Foundation, and The Boys & Girls Club. It was a heart-warming event to be a part of, here are some images captured from the day. Enjoy!

Today I will be taking part in a huge charity event for The Wounded Warrior Project at The St. Regis Hotel in Dana Point, California. The event is an extensive thank you to caregivers who give their time and energy 24/7 to care for friends and loved ones - of wounded warriors, along with parents of children facing life threatening illness in the Make-A-Wish program, mentors with The Boys And Girls clubs and family members of firefighters injured or killed in the line of duty.

P3 Beauty will be doing makeup, hair and manicures and Gaucin Spa will be providing mini facials, massages and manicures for all the caregivers.

The story behind Wounded Warriors Project:

One night while watching the evening news, a group of veterans and brothers were moved by the difficult stories of the first wounded service members returning home from Afghanistan and Iraq. They realized then and there that something needed to be done for these brave individuals beyond the brass bands and ticker tape parades.

The resulting objective was to provide tangible support for the severely wounded and help them on the road to healing, both physically and mentally. What had been initially viewed as a small contribution (compared with what the warriors had sacrificed while serving our country) has become WWP's signature program:"WWP backpacks delivered bedside to wounded warriors."

I spent last week doing 3 days of taping with The Food Network's famed Italian chef, Giada De Laurentiis. If Giada wasn't talking about food, she was creating it and if I wasn't doing makeup, I was salivating from the amazing meals that she prepared while on set.

Giada is already such a beautiful canvas to work on, so it wasn't hard to make her even more beautiful. I can't wait until the episodes air. These were primetime Thanksgiving specials, so look for them to air October/November. Check your local listings and enjoy this picture from the set.

Makeover Monday: Happy Labor Day

Happy Labor Day! I hope everyone is able to take some time today and enjoy one of the last great days of summer. And as Labor Day was approaching, it made me think about the number one rule associated with the holiday: "DO NOT WEAR WHITE AFTER LABOR DAY."

Living in California, I've always been at odds with this. You see the rule stems from the fact that white reflects light and heat, thus wearing white keeps you cooler in the heat. In a place like Southern California, that rule doesn't really make much sense, as SoCal almost always has amazing weather throughout the year.

So the next time someone marks you as a fashion faux paus for wearing white after Labor Day, you can let them know that some rules can be broken.... for the right reasons.

Recap Wednesday: Daytime Emmys

As I mentioned last week, I spent this past Sunday at The Daytime Emmys with the queen of daytime, Susan Lucci. Susan is always amazing to work with and as hot as Los Angeles was, we always have a good time keeping cool and prepping for the awards. Her husband, her kids and more importantly she was thrilled at how beautiful she looked.

Along with beautifying Susan, I tweeted throughout the event but if you weren't able to catch all the tweets, here are some of the details from the day. I did a hair and makeup change for Susan when she participated in a fashion show segment introduced by Tyra Banks. The segment featured all the couples from all the soaps in a nonstop photo shoot.

Backstage, I checked out the Benefit Beauty Room, did a tango with Gilles Marini from Dancing With The Stars, and chatted with Daniel Goddard who plays Cane Ashby on Young & The Restless-- and yes ladies he is just as gorgeous in person as he is on the Young & The Restless.

Vanessa Williams did an amazing job hosting the event, and the awards had great reviews.

Fabulous Fridays: Let's Not Forget About The Men

Self preservation and beautification isn't just for women anymore. Men's grooming is the fastest growing subject in the beauty business, annually raking in $14 billion dollars to the industry.

As men's grooming booms, more and more men are starting to pay attention to self preservation.

Lines like The Art of Shaving, Men's Science, and Jack Black are a few amazing lines that have all-natural products like aloe vera and all-natural exfoliants. They are great investments in maintaining smooth skin that all women adore.

Regardless of the product, the key element that most men need to pay attention to is a proper pre-shave treatment. Here are a few tips that all men can use when grooming.

We started shooting around 10:00 a.m. at Sager French Salon in West Los Angeles and finished at 6:00 p.m. The video features 4 different women doing the Perfect Pretty Process "Polished" look. They were amazed and "beyond thrilled" at how they went from simple to simply beautiful and polished in a matter of minutes. The video will also include "party favors" and extra beauty tips that every woman wants to know. It will be available nationwide very soon. We'll keep you posted on the release date . Makeover Monday: A Perfect Getaway

Last week I worked with one of my favorite guys, Timothy Olyphant. Timothy and actress Milla Jovovich took over Current TV studios and were a perfect pair showing clips from their new movie, A Perfect Getaway. You might remember Timothy from such hits as Go, Deadwood, Catch & Release with Jennifer Garner and Hitman starring Bruce Willis. I love working with Tim. He is committed to his craft and a great family man; two things I always admire in a man.

A Perfect Getaway is about two pairs of lovers on a Hawaiian vacation that discover psychopaths are stalking and murdering tourists on the islands. The movie definitely looks like it will have you on the edge of your seat!

A Perfect Getaway is due in theaters August 7th.

It seems like yesterday that I was on the set of Christina Aguilera's very first video entitled "Genie in a Bottle". It was actually 10 years ago. Wow time flies! I remember getting to do fun, colorful makeup on Christina's beautiful baby-blues, and enhancing her perfectly bronzed skin. She blew everyone away with a huge, amazing voice coming out of such a petite 16-year old.

"Genie In A Bottle" topped The Billboard 100, along with "What a Girl Wants" and "Come on Over Baby (All I Want Is You). Since this video, Christina has had 5 successful albums, and did a popular remake of "Lady Marmalade".

Makeover Monday: The Eye Opener

They say the eyes are the window to the soul.... as a celebrity makeup artist, I couldn't agree more.

When working with the eyes, two of the most important things that every woman wants are big beautiful eyes and the perfect lashes.

It's a known fact that open eyes help you look brighter and more awake. I've created a technique known as the eye opener.

Start with the clean sweep method, taking your eyeshadow color from the inside corner to the outside corner, lash line to crease line. Next, look straight ahead into your mirror, take the same color of eyeshadow and place it right above the color of your lid, so that it's above the crease. Make sure to blend the edge out and up, especially towards the outside corner. Finish by filling in any area of the lid that the eyeshadow hasn't covered yet.

The proper way to curl your lash will also open your eyes. The best way to benefit from curling your eyelashes is to first place the curler as close to the root of your lashes as possible. I prefer the tarte eyelash curler. I find it to be more gentle and effective than other eyelash curlers. After getting a bend at the root, slightly open the curler, slide to mid-lash and curl again. If you have long enough lashes, take the curler to the ends of your lash and continue with a gentle curl. Using this technique will create a more natural curl and longer lashes, giving the eye a more open appearance; especially after mascara!

This is a picture of Bridgette Wilson-Sampras from InStyle magazine a few years ago. I love working with Bridgette, besides the fact that she's my dear friend, she has an amazing face to work with.

Getting a glamorous look doesn't mean that you have to wear a lot of makeup. Like in this look, we wanted elegant, sophisticated, timeless beauty.

We kept the eyes softly defined using a gold sheen eyeshadow across the lid using the clean sweep method and under the bottom lash line on the inside corner, a medium brown matte shadow above the crease, and under the outside corner of the bottom lash line.

I applied a very thin liner close to the top lashes so that it doesn't look like eyeliner, this makes your eyelashes look thicker. Finish the eye by curling your lashes and applying a light coat of mascara. Remember, keep it soft.

I used a rosy red lipstick to add a little bit of drama. After you define and fill in your lips, take a q-tip and roll it over the outer edge of your lip color. This will smooth out the lip line and ensure classic elegance.

Here is a picture from 1994 that I did with actor, singer, and comedian Jamie Foxx, shot by photographer Randee St. Nicholas. We were shooting his first album cover entitled Peep This, and this is just one of the great images from the day. I remember being in awe that Jamie wasn't just the funny guy that played Wanda from In Living Color but also a talented singer. Since then, Jamie has won an Oscar for the movie Ray, and had a number one on Billboard's Top 100.
It's so much fun running across old pictures that remind me how amazing & fun my career has been.

Makeover Monday: The Perfect Pretty Process in Living Color

Today's beauty tip is to spice up your daily routine. A little color can go a long way and can still be natural and gorgeous. The main rule is to blend!

On this model's eyes I used a combination of a smoky sky blue and a sherbert green eyeshadow. Makeup Forever has a wide variety of colors to choose from.

To get this look, you are going to use the clean sweep method. Take your sherbert green and sweep it across your eyelid from your inner corner to your outer corner, from your lash line to your crease line.

With the smoky sky blue, while looking straight into the mirror, you are going to apply color above the crease line from inner corner to your outer corner.

Soften the top edge of the blue so that the color fades away. Be sure to take the blue along the top lash line, when you get to the top outer corner connect to the bottom outer corner.

On the bottom, apply the green where the blue stops and all the way to the inside corner. Again, make sure that you blend the colors to soften the look so that you are left with no harsh lines.

Finish with mascara, and voila... natural in living color.

Makeover Monday: The Not Beauty Look

You might see this picture and wonder what the heck are Cindy Crawford and Terri doing with those masks on! Well, this is definitely not beauty makeup. We just landed in Buenos Aires, Argentina and were given these masks to wear to step off the plane. I mean really, we didn't look that bad!!! Just kidding, this is one of the measures Argentina is taking to keep the risk of the Swine Flu out of their country. After you get off the plane you must walk through a screening area where they have a little machine scan your body for fever. No worries, we were given a clean bill of health.

We then rushed off to our hotel to get Cindy ready for the business at hand. A personal appearance and lots of interviews about the new high tech Remington Shine Therapy flat iron. This tool is so cool, it has conditioners and avacado oil infused in the ceramic plates which also pivot so you can curl just as easy as straighten. I give this new contraption an A+!!! I will be using it a lot more on my celebrity clients as well as myself.

After a full day of press, we headed back to the airport to go home. That's right, we spent 27 hours on planes and only 12 hours on the ground in Buenos Aires. Never a dull moment, or dull hair in this case.

Here's a shoot I did last month for Vanity Fair with the surfing world's new "it" girls. Although the weather was a little gloomy, the atmosphere was cool and easy-breezy. I was assisted by Lisa Keeping and Vanessa Melgar, two fabulous P3 Beauty makeup artists.

With the sun setting on an older generation of women surfers, underscored by the recent retirement of seven-time world champ Layne Beachley, 37, the next tide of young women is ready to rise. Some of these female surfing prodigies came together in Crystal Cove State Park, in Newport Coast, California, to be photographed by iconic surf photographer Michael Halsband for Vanity Fair’s July issue. Sultry, Sexy, Smokey; 1-2-3

Today I'm going to tell you how to get Sultry, Sexy Smokey eyes in 3 easy steps.

Step 1: Take a dark eye pencil, black is the most common, however you can always interchange the colors. For variation on the look try using a burgundy, navy or dark green. You are going to line the inside of your eye, we call this the water line. Do the top one too.

Step 2: Using a dark eyeshadow, sweep the color over your entire eye lid from inside corner to outside corner. Now do the same under your bottom lashes. Don't make it too thin, but do be sure to blend the edges.

Step 3: Finish with a nice coat of mascara.

That's all it takes to get this look!!

Globe Trotting Super Model Style

Last week started at the opening of Whiskey Blue in the new W Hotel, Ft.
Lauderdale. Life is good when you can start the day having a little "me"
time at the Bliss Spa where I was treated with a massage & body scrub. The
weather was gorgeous so Cindy & I headed to the beach to get a little sun
kissed. Next it was time to put the "Super" in supermodel, not a tough task,
and we finished off the evening Whiskey Blue. Also at the event was Blake
Lively and her co-star & boyfriend Penn Badgley.

The next day we were off to Canada where we visited The Brick in Quebec City
and Montreal. Fans were treated to some one on one time with their favorite
supermodel and furniture designer, Cindy Crawford. When Cindy does an
autograph signing, she really wants each person to feel special & have an
experience. No one leaves disappointed!!!

It was a fantastic trip, as always, filled with fun, great food & good times
with friends.

Today I want to spread some news about my friend Taylor Babaian. Taylor is a fabulous makeup artist with an equally fabulous eyelash brand, kre-at beauty.

"kre-at beauty launched during the awards season in January 2009. Taylor gave away lashes to her fellow celebrity makeup artists, and all of Hollywood was a buzz. kre-at beauty was all over the red carpet, t.v. and magazines. Celebrities including Jenna Fischer, Nicolette Sheridan, Paula Abdul, LeAnn Rimes, Melissa George and Golden Globe winner Sally Hawkins have been seen wearing them."

I had lunch with Taylor a few days ago and she had some amazing makeup tips about applying eyelashes that I'd like to share:

Tip #1: Try cutting lashes in sections for an easier application

Tip #2: Use tweezers to apply lashes (This allows for an easier/more detailed application)

Tip #3: Put lashes on last. Yes, AFTER you curl and apply mascara

There are so many updates that I must share with you all. As I mentioned last week I did a little press with Dennis Quaid for his upcoming films Pandorum and Legion. Dennis is such a nice guy. He's funny, personable, and his talents go beyond what you see on screen! If you don't believe me, judge for yourself in this hilarious prank that Dennis plays into on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.

One last thing, I'm off on a flight today with Cindy Crawford for special appearences in Florida and The Brick, Montreal, and Quebec City in Canada. I'll be sure to post any fun photos and news from our trip.

Welcome to Recap Wednesdays. Every week I will be recapping some of the highlights from my previous week.

Last week when I got back from my fabulous vacation in Tahiti I hit the ground running. First stop doing a little press with Dennis Quaid for his new movie G. I. Joe, The Rise of The Cobra. I'm not usually an "action movie" goer, but after seeing a few highlights from the movie, this is definitely on my list!

This was followed by a couple of days on the new infomercial for Cindy Crawford's Meaningful Beauty. I love this skin care system-- it's easy, effective, affordable and definitely worth trying!
